UK SPEAKERS CORNER I Debating the Crucifixion
Description
This man is Lewis, who we met at Speaker's Corner. Lewis is a former Hebrew Israelite turned Muslim.
As a Muslim, Lewis has a very unorthodox view. He rejects the hadith, and says he is "Koran only." Also, he believes Jesus Christ was actually Crucified.
Most Muslims would not accept this View.
The discussion with Lewis began when he walked up to us and asked the question:
"Is Christianity, the white man's religion?"
In our response, Lewis was presented with similar questions about anti-blackness
in Islam.
In this section, Lewis and I also discuss forgiveness, who Jesus is, and the role of the Bible. We debate what it means that Jesus died, and what it means that he is our Savior. Then, we do a complete conversation recap.
It was a very respectful discussion,
and we hope to be able to talk to
Lewis again.
