Hello everyone! Today, I am doing my first-ever voice over on an art time lapse! Before I dive into the meat and message of this video, let me give some background.

I set out to create something Godly and meaningful, yet still fun and childlike to use my new fancy crayons on. As a bonus, Valentine’s Day is coming up and I thought playing around with the themes of love, hearts, pinks, and reds would be nice, as well. My solution was creating a coloring page that would send a message of light and life in these times of darkness and death.

This said, if you’d like to join me on this journey to defend life? Let’s stand up united like we’re called to be and spread this message that matters so much! Speaking of which, let’s dive into it now.

Life, human life : what is it, and why is so important?

I’d to focus on passages from 3 Biblical chapters.

Genesis 1:27-28, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”

We see from this that humans were, and are, made intentionally by God to reflect His image. We are not mere animals or insects, infact, we were made to rule over all of them. God has placed our value so much higher than theirs. We also see it has been our duty and privilege to have children from the very beginning! It’s a great honor that we’ve been blessed with this instruction, so why do so many people reject it?

Psalm 127:3-5 shows us again that it is, indeed, a blessing! “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

In Psalm 139:13-16, we see that human life begins at conception, when we are starting to grow and be formed in our mother’s womb. David is praising the Lord, saying, “For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

A few verses later in verse 19, David continues, “Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God! O men of blood, depart from me!”

My question to each of you to seriously consider, is this : “What could be more wicked and blood-thirsty than going after the lives of the innocent?” Even in war time we try to avoid child casualties because we see these lives as so precious, and know causing the death of the innocent, especially innocent youth, is severely unethical. When people promote abortion as an amazing ultra-ethical thing, and act as if banning the murder of the unborn is the most immoral option, how more hypocritical could they get?

I’d like to wrap up with Psalm 139 by reading verses 23-24. “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”
