Is Morality Based on Culture or What Makes Us Happy?
Description
How should I respond to someone who is unpersuaded by the moral argument for God?
Greg Koukl and Amy Hall point out that while both virtuous and evil acts can be motivated by personal satisfaction, without objective standards, we cannot meaningfully call anything morally better or worse. Greg and Amy challenge cultural relativism by asking whether society has made real moral progress. If morality is only determined by cultural consensus, then no change can be called an improvement—only a difference.
