Battling Pain
Description
Today I share my experiences with chronic pain and chronic fatigue.
--
"I don’t often complain because if I complained every time I was in pain, I would have nothing else to say. If I’m complaining, just know it must be really severe."
Living life exhausted and in pain is something I struggle with daily. Unlike the linked article’s writer, my body doesn’t even respond well to medications. Chronic pain and chronic fatigue are extremely hard to cope with, and I don't think most people truly understand what it’s like to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. I don’t want them to pretend to, either.
The only reason I'm able to deal with this is because there is someone I know who understands better than even I do : Jesus. He bears my suffering with me. He cares for me. He loves me. When all I feel like is screaming and crying, I can turn over that suffering to Him. I know that He can turn my song of mourning into one of praise. I love Him, and He is good, even when my body is not doing so well. He is righteous, even when everything feels all wrong. I may not have a choice in my pain, but He had a choice in His, and He STILL chose to go through it all so that I didn't have to bear the weight of my sin eternally. If I have to endure temporarily so that through these hardships, I can come to know Christ better, it's worth it a thousand times over. It does not make it easy. It does make it praiseworthy.
Romans 5:3-6, "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly."

Have you ever wondered, "What is chronic pain syndrome?"
If so, I hope I at least gave you a glimpse into it. If you have any more questions, tho, I'd love to hear them!
--
Based on google's current search trend “American Chronic Pain Association,” which is now up +140%, and google’s current breakout trend, "Chronic Pain Releaf Center," which I assume is supposed to be, "Chronic Pain Relief Center," it seems a lot of people in this world are in pain and search for relief. I also know the greatest relief we will ever be able to find comes from God, himself.
If you are looking for a physical chronic pain relief center and are under 18, I highly recommend the Cleveland Clinic Children's Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program. I attended there years back and while it did not cure me by any means, it did help to be surrounded by others who had similar struggles as I do and could join together with me to help us continue the journey together.
