Did Jesus Rise From the Dead? (2003): The Resurrection Debate
4.40 out of 5 stars
Description
If He is not risen, then He is not the Christ.
The most pivotal inquiry in Christian theology revolves around the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a question that has captivated the minds of scholars and theologians for centuries, as evidenced by the vast and ever-growing body of literature dedicated to this topic. As James I. Packer so eloquently puts it, 'The Easter event is the cornerstone of Christian truth, demonstrating Jesus' divinity, validating his teachings, and attesting to the completion of his redemptive work.' For the Apostle Paul, the Resurrection was the very foundation of the Christian faith, and without it, the entire edifice of Christianity would come crashing down. As he so bluntly states in 1 Corinthians 15:14-17, 'If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is in vain, and so is your faith... If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile.' In essence, the Christian faith hinges on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without a living, resurrected Christ, Christianity loses its very essence and raison d'être. The Resurrection is not just a peripheral doctrine, but the beating heart of Christian theology.
