They Became Fools ...: The Areopagus Journal of the Apologetics Resource Center. Volume 2, Number 3.

Description

In this edition of the Areopagus Journal, we embark on a crucial mission: to rouse, inform, and empower the church to respond biblically to the alarming surge of cults and alternative religions in America and beyond. The proliferation of cults, new religious movements, and occult practices is accelerating at an unprecedented rate, while traditional world religions are also experiencing significant growth. A timeless adage serves as a stark reminder of our collective responsibility: "Cults are the unpaid bills of the Church." In reality, other religions and cults have become the largest, yet most neglected, mission fields. This issue delves into the essential questions: What constitutes a religion, and what are the fundamental differences between major belief systems? Moreover, how do we define a cult? Our contributors provide insightful answers to these pressing questions, challenging us to reexamine our worldview through a biblical lens.
